Afordances

"Extremely powerful and with all the elements and resources to design practically anything that the mind can imagine. It has an extensive variety of plugins and tools to create almost any object, both organic and inorganic. It allows me to play with ideas and take them to 3D accurately."

"The ability to create virtually anything I can imagine in a virtual world."

"It has absolutely the best of all worlds. It can do everything from Animation, Rigging, Motion Graphics, 3D Modeling and many more. The possibilities are endless."

Limitations

"Having so many tools can sometimes be confusing. Many menus and options for practically anything becomes complicated when sometimes you want to do something simple. It is a very specialized program and that makes the learning curve slower than in other solutions for 3D design. Everything requires time and dedication."

"The learning curve of Maya is somewhat steep. One must dedicate oneself to learning the capabilities of the program and commit to the time necessary to master it. Once you get past the basics as a foundation, the creation part is fun."
